HGX Creative Wins Arrobo De Oro (Load Of Gold) Award For Non-Profit Website
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Ft Lauderdale, FL – December 2006 – HGX Creative, a full-service marketing, design and promotions company, is the proud recipient of the Arroba de Oro award in the Asociaciones (Foundations) category for www.lachureca.org.
The prestigious award was accepted by Guillermo Castillo, administrator and co-founder of La Ciudad del Nino La Chureca, at a gala event on December 13, 2006. “It is with pleasure that I celebrate with the HGX Creative team who dedicated their time to design and construct a site that this contest has enabled many to visit and learn about the desperation of the children in Managua,” he said.
“The best part of winning this award is that the prize money benefits the children of La Chureca directly.” HGX Creative believes wholeheartedly in giving back and views their role assisting La Chureca in completing the community center in Managua as an opportunity to uplift humanity as a whole by helping the most helpless – children in a desperately poor country. “Being acknowledged by the Latin American equivalent of the Webbys is obviously tremendously encouraging for us as an agency,” says HGX Creative’s CEO, Debbie Nierman. “However, our sincere hope is that this recognition will serve to raise public awareness of the plight of little kids growing up in the garbage – enough to really make a difference in their lives.”
