HGX Creative Receives American Graphic Design Award

Boston, MA – September 2006 – HGX Creative was awarded the American Graphic Design Award for excellence in communication and graphic design for a website they designed for Pennsylvania’s Redemption Cycles. The bi-annual award is sponsored by Adobe and judged by a panel of high-profile international judges looking for authentic design, high creativity and out-of-the-box thinking.

“This acknowledgement from the AGDA is a tremendous honor for our team in general and our senior graphic designer, Tony Cardentey, in particular,” says HGX CEO, Debbie Nierman. “It’s encouraging to know that there are organizations like Graphic Design USA that support authentic creative design in an industry that has its share of bargain basement vendors.”

Redemption Cycles, a motorcyclist’s haven for service and biker gear, wanted to increase awareness of their brand, location and services within their region. Knowing that many bike enthusiasts are also Web savvy, Redemption approached HGX Creative to design a site to establish their brand, define their services and provide their motorcycle clubs a place to connect online or encourage bikers in the tri-state area to stop by in person. The creation of the site is the most recent in a series of marketing materials designed and produced by HGX Creative for Redemption, following logo, stationery package, retail merchandise (T-shirts, hats, travel mugs, bags, custom gift cards and POS hangtags) and indoor and outdoor banners.

In the first six months the site was live, Redemption’s service appointments schedule doubled, retail store sales increased by 45% and “ride by” visitors – well, they keep dropping in to get a tune up or simply to say hi.
